Project Officer (Part-time 0.2FTE, 6 months fixed term)

Moonee Valley Legal Service is currently looking for a Project Officer to join our team on part-time, fixed term basis. The Project Officer will assist in the implementation of the fixed term “Networking for Change” project, working with our organisation and collaboratively with the local family violence network membership to support the network to better identify, understand and respond to emerging and unmet family violence service need. The project worker will support the gathering of evidence from a range of sources and documenting family violence experiences and services responses in our area, with a focus upon issues emerging from the current COVID-19 context. The project will generate online activities, materials aand information to strengthen coordination, between services, promote early intervention and increase community awareness. The “Networking for Change” is funded by the Moonee Valley City Council.

Community Lawyer (1.0FTE, fixed term to 30 June 2020)

Moonee Valley Legal Service is seeking an experienced community lawyer to join our team. The purpose of this role is to perform the duties of a community lawyer in providing high quality legal services to the local community with a focus on legal need arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. The role will involve community engagement and legal education activities, development of community resources and building of relationships with key stakeholders.

VOLUNTEER VACANCIES

 

Volunteers play a valued and integral role at MVLS and we offer various opportunities for their involvement. Volunteers generally assist on a rostered basis supporting our Monday night service, our weekday appointment services, administrative functions or particular projects. We welcome the contribution of lawyers, law students and individuals with an interest in community engagement.
